Spent a long day at the Boston Marathon today, no I didn’t run just working. This was my first Boston Marathon, though I have worked the Vermont City Marathon twice when i was shooting for WPTZ. Other than having to get there really early, I had a great time today. Those Kenyan’s are absolutely amazing setting a new course record. Quite unusually the USA did remarkably well, with 5 men placing in the top ten. My truck was parked a few blocks away from the finish line, right in the middle of the cool-down area, so as we were doing our 5 and 6pm liveshots there were several thousand people in silver mylar blankets recovering in the background. I got a few good pictures of the crowd that I’ll post to Flickr as soon as I get a chance.
