When good romantic wedding ideas go wrong:

ROME – A romantic wedding in the Tuscan countryside ended with injuries after an attempt to launch the bride’s bouquet from a plane brought down the tiny aircraft. Italian police say two people were hurt in the crash of the ultralight plane after the bridal bouquet they launched got caught in the aircraft’s rear rotor.
The flowers blocked the engine, bringing the plane down by a youth hostel.
Police in the nearby town of Piombino said Tuesday the pilot was lightly injured in Saturday’s crash, while the passenger who threw the bouquet had several broken bones.
The bride and groom were not aboard the plane.

Best french toast

Ok, best discovery in Denver so far: banana bread french toast at the Moonlight Diner near the Denver Airport. This diner definately has what it takes to be near the top of my list and I’ll have to come back again when I am next in town.

This definitely falls under the stupid criminal category, who decides to rob a bank but doesn’t have a decent get-away plan, I know, people who don’t succeed in robbing banks.

SAGINAW, Mich. – Authorities say a parolee who robbed a Michigan bank was caught when he tried to hitch a ride from an undercover police detective.

Mark E. White was arraigned Friday on charges that include bank robbery and making a false bomb threat. He is being held at the Saginaw County Jail on $755,000 bond. It was not clear whether White had an attorney. Police did not immediately return a message seeking comment Saturday.

Authorities tell The Saginaw News that White flagged down Saginaw Township Detective Scott Jackson on Wednesday after the bank robbery a few blocks away.

White was paroled June 16 after serving time for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and violating an earlier parole.

The Space shuttle launch was just delayed for the day due to weather.
It looks like the next attempt will be for tomorrow at 6:51pm. The Major reasons for this scrubbing of the launch attempt are due to lightning in the area which the shuttle cannot take off in, as well as not being able to land if there is a launch abort during the initial stages of the shuttle launch. At this time the NASA team is busy preparing to remove the crew from the orbiter and reset the launch procedures for a launch tomorrow evening. Photo Courtesy of NASA.

… The way to Santa Fe! working our way across New Mexico. Just stopped a bit ago at a huge casino/truck stop, and a little before that we drove by what has to be the town from the movie "Cars". A little forlorn looking exit with a sign that says Historic Route 66, with a little town way off in the distance.
