Leaving salt lake

Those are the mountains that we drove through late last night but didn’t get to see any of. Heading off to the north from salt lake city this morning. Its not going to be quite as long of a day today, we have two days left to make it 14 hours of driving. Hopefully there will be more to see today.

This is the most sky I think we have seen since kansas. 160 miles till salt lake, and we are looking for dinner.

Morning in colorado

Dawn breaks in colorado and we are back on the road, every time I end up in this part of the country I can’t get over how flat it is out here. Our entertainment options are pretty sparse, we have two stations, and they are both country. By the end of the day we will be climbing throught the mountains of wyoming and utah, so I better enjoy the easy cruising along right now.

Rolling west on I-70

Driving west into the setting sun. Its amazing how flat Kansas is. We still have several more hours of driving today, with hopes to make it quite a distance into Colorado before stopping for the night. We’ve seen lots of grain elevators, cattle and references to the wizar of oz. I can’t wait to be out of this flat stuff.
